Corsican Dog (U Corsinu)

History, origin & features

The Corsican dog “U Cursinu” has been present in Corsica since the 16th century, and was used mainly as a sheepdog until 1950. U Corsinu is distinguished by its docile, attentive character. An unrivalled hunting dog, U Corsinu is a natural all-rounder, able to protect both home and flock. They are very attached to their master and can adapt to a quieter life in a family. These medium-sized dogs are long and leggy. Rustic in appearance, its tail curls like a Spitz. The coat is short to medium-length and dense. Their coat color is generally brindle fawn.
