Cane Corso

The cane corso is a breed of dog native to Italy, named after the Italian “cane” meaning “dog” and “corso” meaning “course”. It was originally bred to protect and guard Italian farms, but was also used to hunt wild boar and guard herds. The cane corso is a robust, athletic-looking dog. It has a broad head with an ever-black nose. It has small eyes and floppy ears. It has a powerful, muscular body and a long tail. It has short, glossy hair that can be black, gray or fawn. It can sometimes have a small white patch on the chest.
