Cuddle or Pug

History, origin & features

Originally from China, Pug was introduced to Europe by the East India Company.

Highly prized in the Netherlands in the 16th century, they became popular with European aristocrats when William III ascended the English throne in 1688.

Originally from the Netherlands, he brought his Pugs with him and had them adopted at court. The Pug is a calm dog that can adapt to any situation! Intelligent and very playful, it's also a pleasant companion with an even-tempered, cheerful disposition.

They get on well with children and other dogs, but they need to be socialized to enable them to thrive with larger dogs too. Small, compact and stocky, Pugs are characterized by their squashed face and fine, soft, glossy coat.
Gray, apricot, fawn or black, the coat is marked by a black stripe down the back and a black mask.
His wrinkled forehead and floppy ears give him a particularly endearing look.
