Beagle Harrier

History, origin & features

The Beagle Harrier is the result of crossbreeding carried out in the 18th century between the English Beagle and the Harrier to create a dog with the characteristics of the Beagle (a dog known for its hunting skills), but of larger size. The Beagle Harrier is first and foremost a hunting dog: energetic, hardy and hardy, it is docile, adaptable to any terrain and highly intelligent.
They are accustomed to hunting in packs, but can also work alone: good socialization will enable them to acclimatize easily to their canine companions.
His affection for his masters and his love of play will also make him a real companion for children. These medium-sized dogs are harmonious, well-balanced, distinguished, agile and vigorous. Their eyes confirm their lively, intelligent character. Its coat is fairly thick, not too short, but flat. As for coat color, it's usually tricolor (fawn with black and white mantle), but other colors are sometimes found.
