Smous from the Netherlands

History, origin & features

The Dutch Smous is a dog whose main activity was to follow riders on their horses, hunting rodents along the way. He had the good reputation of being the ally of noble horsemen. Its coat is coarse, rough, hard and frizzy on the body. Its legs are of medium length, forming a sort of fringe. The head is shorter, with longer whiskers, beard and eyebrows. They are generally yellow in color.
